Who we are

This website is operated by Jonathan Griffiths, an award-winning, UK-based keynote speaker trading as a sole trader. The website address is jonathangriffiths.co.uk. Jonathan Griffiths is the data controller for any personal data processed through this site.

If you have questions about how your data is used, please contact hello@jonathangriffiths.co.uk.

This is a personal business website. It does not sell products, run advertising, or share data with third parties for marketing purposes. Personal data collected is used only to respond to enquiries and to improve the site.

What data is collected and why

Enquiry form submissions. When you use the enquiry form on the Book Jonathan page, you provide information such as your name, email address, organisation, event details, and any notes you choose to include. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interests — specifically, the mutual interest you and Jonathan Griffiths have in discussing a potential speaking engagement. It is never used for unsolicited marketing.

Email correspondence. If you contact Jonathan directly by email at hello@jonathangriffiths.co.uk, the content of that correspondence and your contact details will be retained in order to manage the conversation and any resulting booking. The legal basis is legitimate interests.

Analytics data. The site may collect anonymised, aggregate data about how visitors use the site — such as which pages are visited and in what order. This data does not identify you personally. The legal basis is legitimate interests in improving the site's content and usability.

Cookies. The site uses a small number of cookies. Full details are in the Cookie Policy.

What data is not collected

This site does not collect payment information, run a newsletter or mailing list, create user accounts, use advertising networks, or employ social media tracking pixels. No data is sold to third parties.

How long data is retained

Enquiry and email correspondence data is retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage the relationship — typically for the duration of any booking and for a reasonable period thereafter in case of follow-up. If an enquiry does not result in a booking, data is deleted within 12 months. Analytics data is anonymised and does not identify individuals.

You may request deletion of your data at any time — see Your Rights below.

Who data is shared with

Personal data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Data may be processed by the following categories of service provider, each of whom is bound by their own data processing terms:

If Jonathan Griffiths is ever legally required to disclose personal data — for example, by a court order — he will comply with that legal obligation.

International transfers

Some service providers (such as email or analytics platforms) may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this is the case, Jonathan Griffiths takes reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, in line with UK GDPR requirements.
